Thought I would kick in & say that my favourite is the Mosin Nagant M91-30. I've got 6, & 3 are dead on shots @ 100 yds. over iron sites, off hand. My $.02 worth.

The Mosin's are good guns and you can't beat the price. I likey my "little" M4 that I built. Real good shooter and easy to operate with in the woods back home. I think if I had my choice of a practical rifle that I would actually be able to afford my pick would be a M1A Super Match model with a McMillan stock and all the trimmings. And of course the ultimate is a Barrett but I'll never afford that. Got waaay to many other necessities.

Pistols...I have to say that my Para 1445 is the best. Very comfortable and the 14 rounds of .45 cal flying trash cans help reduce felt recoil and let me put a lot of rounds down range without reloading. Gonna get my mro in law to put some tritium sights on it when I get home. I had a Glock in .40 S&W that was a piece of crap. Couldn't shoot it for crap.

Rifle: Anzio Iron Works, Bolt action, magazine fed .50 cal. Because I own one.

Pistol: 1911 .45. Have this too.

Have to say that I would love to have an M1A. Can't afford one right now though.

Showoff. I had some splaining to get Sierra to let me get a "new" .308. Ain't no way she'd go for an Anzio. Guess our crew don't need more than we have already anyway ;-)

saifa if you can make it through DPC and get in theater, you will definately have the fundage for a M1A soon enough if you so desire.
